Toledo

This cozy, distinctively laid out flat is surprisingly spacious, and has the feel of a vintage garret in the Old town section of Toledo. The Cathedral Toledo Suite has tremendous terrace views. This suite apartment wraps around a central courtyard, and boasts magnificent vistas from several of the rooms. The private terrace, which one reaches by what must be called a hatch, offers the best view of the cathedral. The roofs tops and old town are also in full view from this vantage point. The two bathrooms are small but are fully renovated and functional. Having a washer and dryer is a real perk especially for a rental in the old town area. There is no elevator so your will carry your luggage up one flight of stairs. Our host Mercedes was very helpful and insisted on carrying some of the luggage herself. A parking garage nearby which is available at a discounted rate, thanks to Mercedes, who seems to know everyone. The garage is close enough and downhill by foot, but not by car. Mercedes arranged for a taxi to meet us near the apartment so we would not have to lug our bags up the footpath. This apartment is ideally located near the most important sites as well as being close to great restaurants and shopping. In the narrow streets between the tall old buildings, GPSs are not much help, but a little experience and memorizing of landmarks will get you through the maze.
